about

Guitar, effects, field recordings - Made using UbuntuStudio...
This piece started out as a set of highly effected ambient guitar drones. These were copied 12 times. Some of the copies were left "as is", some were reversed, some were slowed by 50% and some were slowed by 50% and reversed. These were all stacked and arranged. Under this we placed another two copies - one fed through a 24 second feedback delay, and one reversed, then fed through a 22 second feedback delay, then a 36 second feedback delay. Next we added two copies of a field recording of a train ride to Donetsk by Bram 16 (made available through the FreeSound Project). One of them was slowed in tempo by 20%. After this we added a field recording of some Tornado fighter jets practicing dog-fighting by Benboncan (made available through the FreeSond Project). Finally we constructed the ending section of the piece by taking a textured guitar theme and copying it three times. One copy was left "as is", one was slowed by 50% and one was slowed by 75%. These were all stacked and arraigned.
